Anybody got/seen sport on/off performance figures?

It's been bugging me for a while what the actual performance difference between sport on / off was from a standing start / midrange

Anybody got or seen any figures ?

I have the vbox (we have one for the websites I run) this weekend and will try to do some self tests weather permitting - but interested and sure someone has done this.

Also has anybody got figures for a Dinan S2 - I've seen the video recently with Gustav experiencing the performance difference from the passenger seat - but interested in the cold hard facts ?

If there is a UK S2 I can organise the Vbox if anybody interested....

Had a blast last night - smiling for about 2 hours after (only stop to go to sleep!) and that in my standard M5..... Hence the questions...
Cheers

Re: Anybody got/seen sport on/off performance figures?

I don't think Sport will do anything for performance in wide open throttle (WOT). All it does is weighten the Servotronic steering and increases the gain on the drive-by-wire throttle control. This has the effect of opening the butterflies wider for a given go-pedal input, which gives the effect of better throttle response. But WOT should be WOT, regardless of "Normal or "Sport mode.

Voodo performance-human trickery-marketing gimick!

Agreed, Elevens.

400 HP is 400 HP... sport on OR off.

Agree - with standing starts. But midrange if the throttle response is faster - surely it will accelerate faster ?
