spring question

Is anyone running H&R or other sport springs in conjunction with the stock shocks?
I truly enjoy the ride of the stock set up and I don't want to tamper with that too much but I dislike the gap over the front wheels.
A friend with an e46 M3 did what I'm describing and the results were very good, I'm wondering if it applies to the M5 as well.

Cheers,
Stan

Re: spring question

H&R 29441 will match the front fender gap to the rear by dropping the nose about an inch. You should add the Dinan rear bar to maintain neutral handling, since the springs are a bit stiffer.

If your car has over 40K miles, I'd strongly consider switching to Koni's set between medium and soft. This is because the Factory Boge's blow out around 50K miles. The Konis, H&R 29441, Dinan rear bar and stock rear springs will feel very similar to stock, but better control and more neutral.

Re: spring question

Thanks very much. I think I'll give the H&R's a try.

Re: spring question

just put on the h&r springs on Mar.1st and it looks really nice. the ride is a little stiffer but no complaints here. haven't noticed a difference in handling, but haven't really drove it hard yet. been wet around DFW area since.
