rear view camera with pic.

My dad got this morning a rear view camera installed on his ’02 X5. And we are very disappointed about the result. The camera itself works great but they mounted it very strange and we can not believe this is the proper way to fix it. It’s beside the opening switch for the trunk and a little bit has been worked with a dremel to make it fit. I will try to post some pictures later on. But I’m hoping someone can tell me if this is the official way to mount the camera.

doesn't look to bad judging by the picture.. I didn't find it the first 20 sec...

Does it look bad in real life?

From the rear you can see something isn’t right. It’s not one with the car. I’m also worried when it is parked someone will break it of.

I’ve got the part number: 66 21 0 301 007
Is it a universal part ore only for the X5

I really could use some input on this matter

I saw something on DW-TV automotive magazine. Where BMW has a new tech that on a X5, where it can park itself. BUt just have to apply the brakes.
