ML55 or X5 4.4i ?

Hello, I'm looking at both trucks. About the same miles. About the same price...

What do you guys think? I really like them both. Any advice?

Thanks all!
Colin

I'd take the X5 any day over the ML55, even though I haven't driven the ML55.

I like the styling of the X5 a lot better and from what I've read and heard the handling is better in the X5. The ML is also to be replaced with a totally new model sooner than the X5. There's a facelift due on the X5 this fall....

The quality on the ML isn't up to usual Merceds standard from what I've read and heard. I believe several people on this board have owned ML's, do a search. The quality is better after the facelift of the ML.

X5 definetly. The MLs quality is poor overall with lots of little problems.

Why not take a look at an X5 4.6?

a friend of mine has a ML430 and an X5 4.4. dont ask- his wife wanted the ML and then he discovered his CLK was bad in the snow. I told him to get snow tires- instead he spent 10x as much for a whole new car, the X5. his reaction to the question- aside from the power of the AMG, the X5 is just better overall.

Well the Ml has more cargo space and has the better engine...but the question is what do u want to go for? looks? power? space?
for looks i would take the X5...for power take the X5(more torque than X5) and for space i would take the Ml.....but if uve seen the interior by in the Ml i must say its not very impressive...but the X5 WHOA that thing is one of a kind SAV (sports activity vehicle)

I'm a Mercedes loyalist, but.. go for the X5, trust me, ML55's are rare, but so is a nice X5

ML doesn't have a very nice interior, at least by judging the ML500. I can't directly comment on the ML55.
