M-sound system

Iread somewhere that the M sound system is 500 watts, is that true anyone?

i have a surround sound system at home that has 400 watts and is a lot louder that the M sound.

its just not the wattage of the amplifier that matters its also the efficiency of the speakers and the acoustic space. I find the M system more than adequate, actually pretty decent, but thats about it. say 7/10 on a car stereo scale.

I agree with ME. As ME and myself are both home audio nuts (right ME? ) I find the stock stereo system is fine. Is it great? Nope. But it's doable, and it sure beats spending $5k-$6k and having the entire car taken apart. (i.e. possible rattles, not put back together properly, etc.)

Don't get me wrong, I used to be one of those people that went nuts with car audio and I spent a fortune on it. But then I realized that BMW's are really anal cars when it comes to electronics and thus I keep the mods to a minimum.

BTW, I haven't heard the M Audio, but I'm sure its more than adequate. And ME is right, power is nothing when measuring a stereo system.
