Powerchips will be in Marietta this weekend, does anyone else want to play?

Wayne Besanko has kindly arranged for khuong le from Australian Powerchips, along with his U.S. Counterpart Travis, to be in in Marietta, Ohio this Sunday. They will be flying into Columbus, Ohio on Sat. evening, and will drive to Marietta on Sunday morning. They will fly back to California on Monday afternoon. Wayne has informed me that If anyone else in Ohio would like to have their cars “chipped “ on Sunday or Monday, It could be arranged. please PM me for more information.
Steve and I have been working with Wayne for the last few weeks. We started with the Mini Cooper S, then proceeded to the 2001 M3 Cab.
I gotta tell you, the Mini has had a heart transplant. More torque EVERYWHERE in the power band. The butt meter tells me another 20% in power.
The M3 also has more torque. 1st gear is now just silly. I’m getting S-03’s mounted tomorrow, along with a front strut bar. I pick up the car from MAG on Saturday, so I’ll have more time to evaluate it over the weekend. But it certainly feels stronger, and it still revs just as quickly to rev line.
Khoung and Travis are going to chip the two Beasts on Sunday, along with my X5 4.4 and Steve’s X5 3.0.
Steve and I will have a complete report Sunday evening.

I feel like a kid at Christmas...

COme on guys! Ya know you want it!

Come on guys! Someone else besides Tony & me must be interested in meeting the guys from Powerchip (they're coming all the way from the land down under...via California) and getting the beasts "chipped" en masse.

As Tony said, the difference in the Mini is very noticible. More torque and it felt like I was able to go 0 - 60 a lot quicker. I haven't driven Tony's M3 yet but he says there is a big difference as well. I can't wait to em-Powerchip the beast.

PM TonyS555 or me for more info.

I can understand the power increase in the Mini. What I don't understand is how it can improve the M5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have a 5 liter engine putting out 394 HP and 11:1 compression ratio. Are you saying the BMW engineers left something on the table? I would assume they would maximize HP on an M5 versus a Mini. I can't see them tuning the M5 for economy.

Triflow,
C'mon man it's only a 17 hour drive! I did it with my family after a cruise last summer.
Call and ask for Wayne at Powerchips.

What exactly does the chip do?

Does it void the warranty?

Guys, I know wayne. He is a great guy. And Kuong came to my place to do my 540i. He is very knowledgable young fellow.

You will not be disappointed with this Mod. Powerchip's RULE.

You will feel a difference IMMEDIATELY.

You will not void your warranty as it is immpossibly to know its done, other than Butt-O-Meter.

You can expect, better throttle response, smoother power, and more instant power. Whilst you will only get about 10-14 Hp more, it will feel more like 30Hp.

It is the best bang per buck out their.

The don't pump up their claims and prices like someone else we know. These guy's deliver.

You can put this one in the Absoloutly must Do basket.

I have been satisfied with every Powerchip I have ever got from these guys, and I'm fussy.

Their software isn't blocked for max profit like others. It adapts to mods, like CAI, exhaust or just K & N filters. They even did custom ones for me for the drag strip in My HSV. Ones for the 104+ Octane Booster.

They did a lot of R & D on this one, as that is what they love to do.
Yes, they have improved on perfection.

I do not work for Powerchip or are associated with them anyway other than being a Totally satisfied customer on more than Five Occassions.

If their are any M3 guys out their watching, you'll defineately want to talk to Wayne about his past vehicles and Mods.

MIB...

Thanks for your input. It's nice to hear from someone who knows these guys and their products.

Tony & I have been impressed with them They've gone out of their way to help us get and evaluate these mods for our M5's, X5's, Tony's M3 and our Mini S.

I'm looking forward to meeting them this weekend although we may be covered in snow!

I'm definitely in for the powerchip upgrade...probably beginning of March..perhaps the Powerchip guys will come to Boston (There are 1 or 2 tuned Beasts around here).

I just got the BB exhaust and AA CAI installed last week and love them but will probably be going with the SS X-pipe pretty soon (Just like everyone said). Have good weekend all. -Nigel
