Where were all you M5'ers?

Was out at Moroso Motorsports for the weekend having alittle fun with my Mini and was missing all my M5 friends! Well not all of them. One of you guys at least showed up! Anyway though I'd give you a couple of shots of the Mini Beast hitting the track and let you know I'm now instructing for PBOC events (no screaming in the back please!) My first victim was a new M3 owner. He has a long way to go but I think he found out just how much fun these events can be!

Out terrorizing the track on my own

Giving a student a joy ride that left him uneasy on his legs!

Times were between 1.45 and 1.50 min laps on runflat tires (awful things) and H&R springs. Stock brakes did not hold up well so I ended up learning how to scrub speed sideways. Also as I suspected the lines through corners for the Mini are highly different from the M5 (duh!) and tossing the rear end around has very little bad consequences for the Mini other than removing some tread!

Just to the stripes on the roof. I ended up covering the sunroof with black vinyl to block out the sun then ran the stripes over that. I still need to get some good pictures of the latest work but have not had time lately.

your MCS looks great, Mark. So are you now considering an aftermarket brake setup?
