Would you get Park Distance Control Yes or No
I will be giving the dealership my option list for an 03 996 tt with sept/oct delivery. I'm not sure if I should do the park distance control (I think porsche calls it parktronic) or not. I am ordering the car in slate grey and I believe it is less noticeable on dark colors. I do like the feature and have it on both of my BMWs now but I am concerned with the esthetics of it on the porsche and just wanted you guys expert opinion. Should I get it or not?
Thanks for your help,
Bill

My wife and I love it.

Please don't do it!
With the M5, the sensors are very discreet. Two are on the rub strip and two are on bumper and on the same line with the rub strip.
On the TT, it's like adding pimples to a beautiful woman's aerobicized rear. It just ruins the look. This car is small and rearward visibility is great; the assistance isn't as necessary IMO.

Turbo FREAK: I am thinking about ordering the aluminum instruments, shifter and brake handle, the porsche crest in the seats, heated seats, power lumbar for driver. Slate Grey is not a standard color, it is a little darker and more unique. As far as the PDC, is it just on the rear?
Bart Carter: are you referring to the PDC on the M5 or 996tt
Thanks Bill

The aluminum is gonna cost ya but there is also plastic interior that is colored in sliver but it depends on what you want. slate grey costs extra too and it doesnt attract too much attention. my 996TT is in meridian metallic(its that purplish silver color) and cinamon interior but what do you think of getting red interior? yes the PDC is only on the rear.

On the M5. Front and rear, and on the corners!

I stand corrected. I did not know the '02's changed. Now, it is much better looking and not a big deal either way. Would still just assume not have it b/c it takes just a couple of days to get familiar with the car's small size. Would just assume keep the rear of the car nice and smooth with no parking sensors.
