Pictures of some 850's from our most recent M5 get together

We had four 850's join us at our most recent M5 get together last Saturday. I thought you guys would enjoy seeing some of the pictures including an absolutely pristine Calypso red 1993 850Csi with only 10,300 miles on it!

Two 850i's

A 850Csi and 850i

The required engine shot

A row of beauties

Group pix

Money shot

Interior shot

Does anyone know what the name of the green is? Red was Calypso red.

Hi Jason

The green looks like Laguna Green. Very very very nice CSi. Jim if you read this, there is a way to removed the burned Cosmoline from your intake maifolds....

Regards
Carl

everytime I see the 850Csi engine, I'm always tempted to reproduce that video you see online with the quarter balancing on the top of the engine at idle...

You mean the one right here?
http://www.bmw850.de/videos_e.html

It's a cool video. He used to have a video of him driving the CSi at top speed 155mph for 10 minutes nonstop! It was on the Autobahn from Hannover to Berlin on Oct 28 2001, one day before the road became speed limited. The video was 53.9MB

The video is actually still online but not publicly linked. Traffic went through the roof and I wasn't prepared for that back then.

So, don't tell anyone: here it is

Thanks Yes, it's mine.

Most of the videos will be updated this year to a higher resolution (and the five-Mark coin on the engine will become a two-Euro coin ). In addition there will be a 300kph-video clip as soon as I get Y-rated tyres (maybe in July). Also, bandwidth should be no longer a problem

And I think I will redo all, or at least most, of the photos with my new digital photo camera (Ebay can be sooo tempting ). Then even the 1600x1200 resolution images will look incredibly sharp. This is what the camera is capable of. All I'm waiting for now is the sun to come out...

Mike,

I have't look much into the site lately so please excuse the following question: did you redo the grey leather into red? Or is it a defferent vehicle?

I agree with Carl, "Best Damn 8 series website on the planet!"

I'll answer for Mike; It is a different car. Notice the different liscense plates. The other one, well had a little mishap.... I'll let Mike go into detail on that subject....
