Speed Yellow or Slate Grey...
I'm really frustrating now, I can't decide which color to get...
since one is more eye catching, the other one is more conservative style...
I love both of the colors, still can't decide which one to get...
Regardless of the cost, is there any color that you guys might suggest on top of that? or do give suggestion about these two.
Any owners of yellow or slate?
how often do they need to be washed...easy to take care of?

Yellow is more unique and has a special heritage with Porsche. You will get far more comments. Hell, it's a Porsche, make it stand out.

Go with the Slate, much more livable and practical. The yellow is nice if you don't mind the bugs and insect sh!t. They love the yellow, it's like a big dandelion. After a while the novelty will wear off, and when you sell it, well that's another story.

Bugs and Insect Sh!t???
What do you mean Oak?
the reason why I chose yellow b/c it doesn't really get out of fashion that easily... i just feel like...sports car looks good in red black and yellow...and for porsche...the yellow looks good (even looking at the past models)
but not quite sure since the grey is really unique...I think i'll make sure i see the car in real life...making an appointment with dealer next week to see the color...
I personally like the yellow more than grey, but It's LA, i gotta think more practically.... being too ostentatious isn't good in this area....especially downtown where I go to school...
but the interior for yellow will be more easy to decorate...that's another problem...but well....i'll see...it's really a tough decision to make anyway...
Thanx a lot for the info's....really really appreciated...

I would have to say Yellow. I was surprised at how good it looked on the 996tt when I saw a couple of them in person. But you have to post some pics here...

L+C, any color would be nice, it's just about personal taste. To me the yellow is very trendy, in that in couple years it will be outdated, so for me mentally when I see a trendy color it dates the car. Kinda like when Porsche had the chocolate (sepia) brown or the wierd magenta colors, bright green 70's color. Now it would be kinda wierd to see those colors on the 996tt today because they are not en vogue. Hence trendy.
When I think of heritage colors for a Porsche car, I immediatley think of silver. This is the more of the international racing colors of Germany. Yellow doesn't have this heritage. When I think of yellow I think of Ferrari or Renault.
Cool for a track car, but for an everyday or personal vehicle transpo. No thanks. I feel as if I'm "yellowing" at everyone for attention evey time I drive it.
That's just my feelings, In any case, all the colors are nice. What ever color you decide will be the right one.

Grey would be my pick. Although if you're going for the body kit, could see how yellow might make sense.

Please...
When is the last time you saw a classic 356 in speed yellow? Or an old 911?
I have yet to meet someone who has a yellow TT that didn't sell it after 3 years. If you are gong to do so - then knock yourself out.
Personally - I think Porsches look best in metallic colors. The metallic chips in the paint bring out the lines in the body. They flat colors make the body style harder to divine.
Curious as to why you are really asking though? I mean trying to choose between blues or metallic black vs. black I can imagine getting opinions on?
But Yellow vs Slate -- and have you seen a Slate in person by the way, because in LA it is pretty much all Seal -- anyway Yellow vs Slate?
That one is all you - they are the opposite ends of the Porsche Spectrum.
