          Turbo Porsche Discount

I'm in LA, where can I find a good dealer that is able to offer me at a high discount rate? I've read people saying that they've received about 9000 below MSRP... Can you tell me which dealer that is? Am I able to order it from LA? or any dealer that you've known that offers at a good reasonable price (well for the buyers) such as 4-5% discounts or higher in LA?

I'm looking forward to buy the 2003 turbo which the price list will be out in about 4 weeks informed by one of the local dealer.

          Any contribution will be appreciated,

          Sincerely,

          Kevin

Post It'll be MSRP if you buy in LA

So. In LA, dealers all want MSRP on TURBOS. Best dealer in the basin is Circle Porrsche - hands down.

You'll have to hunt around the east coast if you want to save. 5% is possible.

          Re: Deanger

So, are you saying it's not quite possible to buy turbo for a 5% discount in S. Cali?
For the east coast dealership, will it be troublesome to order from them, since it's quite hard to make and sign the contract. How is it done usually?

And as regarding to Circle Porsche, do you have any representative that is likely to offer me a discout rate? and what discount rate should I aim for?

          Sincerely,

          Kevin

          Post No discount in LA

          No discount in LA PERIOD.

Over the phone with dealers is not hard as long as you have a fax and know what it is you want.

If you do end up buying in LA. Bernie Claire at Circle is very nice - but will not discount.

Thanks so much for the info Deanger...^_^...really appreciated...
please excuse me for asking more questions...
do you happen to know which dealer that offered the 9000 discount rate to one of the member in here for his 2002 turbo? Because since there is so much difference in the price tag, I might as well consider ordering the car from them, or any other dealers you know that might offer at such discount...say 5%, but before that i'll try to convince my dealer to give me some discount...

          sincerely,

          Kevin

luting perhaps if you tell your dealer you know of a person who got a 9000 discount..and that you could purchase the car from that dealer..it will make your dealer a lot more willing to sell you a car at the right discount

          all the best
          Adam

p.s but i always thought you would be doing well not to get a markup for the tt in cali let alone a discount?

SO TRUE! The dealerships in so cal are shocking. Treat you like you are buying a used Nova - talk to you about options and cars being loaded to the gills - when you know they're not. Talk to and and try to appeal to you as if you are a vanity buyer - treat you like you are luck to be forking over 130K to them.

The stories I could tell... See, I go into these places and play fairly dumb until I see how they treat me. Then, if they are nice, I switch into buyer mode and start talking about what I need. Otherwise I just smile and let them tell me what a sweetheart deal they are going to make me on a 2002TT that they are asking 168K for - as if I don't know that you can get them MSRP all over CA and 5% or more if you are willing to hunt.

ALSO - Please look for dealer info on other threads here. I think one started by Bgomez...

Yup...I was informed that i can only get it at msrp

I've known a man doing the car import, I'll see what I could get from him, and somehow use the lowered price to get further discount from porsche dealers...since it's always better to get car from dealer b/c i'll be going back for services and etc... might treat me better...

It's awfully strange that porsche dealers is offering 9000 rebate on the east coast or etc, but not S Cali... I guess I should start with somewhere around 6% discount rate when dealing, and if possibly sign the contract agreeing around 2-3...

          sigh...

          But Thanx for the replies
          ^___^

          sincerely,

          Kevin
