          StarTac phone experiences

Curious if anyone out there has tried to use a "regular" (non-BMW) star tac phone with any success mated to the factory mount. Does it work? How about the Motorola "Vader" phone (even smaller startac). I have heard that this has the same connector as its big brother.
          Thanks,
          Alex
