I have one, and have actually tested it at the race track for accuracy. It was consistantly .15 secs quicker in the 1/4 mile than what the time slip said. A tenth and a half off is pretty damn accurate if you ask me, especially considering the price.
The only real problem is finding a nice straight and level street to test on. The track was perfect so it was not representative of real-world accuracy of the g-tech.
I have found a great street that is long, straight, flat with great visability in every direction, and has no intersecting traffic whatsoever (a street intended for a nieghborhood that hasn't started any construction yet).
When running tests, a friend will stay at one end with a "walkie-talkie" and can warn me as to any surprises. There has been up to five of us out there taking turns down the straight....such fun!
