New place for posting nice photos!

Since PhotoPoint went down, I'm sure a few of us are looking for alternatives.

While most photo sites have a megabyte limit to what you can post, I just found a company that lets you post unlimited amounts of photos for free! A nice bonus is that you can quickly upload not only jpeg's but Photoshop .psd's as well. This is great for those wanting the "full" versions with original layers, etc.

Greg also mentioned www.hobbystage.com as well a couple weeks ago, but I'm not sure it's unlimited to the size and quantity of the photos you can post?

Here's an example of a big file linked from this site.

Dang, I forgot how big that file really was! Sorry if your on a modem, I should have put a disclaimer...

Here's how it normally looks, you just click on the site photo to get the "actual size" for screensavers or whatever.

Another note about this site. I found it at Comdex last year but just decided to look at it now due to PhotoPoint going out. So that means they have been up and running at LEAST one year! Another plus I see is that you can order Kodak prints directly from it, so maybe that adds another hint of stability if they have their backing?

I like their search for photos too. Now I can label all my shots and find them with simple "Sebring 1999" searchs. Maybe it will allow people to quickly find photos of their favorite color "Sterling Grey" as well???

Aussie

Thanks.

I'm testing the different features right now. I miss Photopoint's auto sizing feature plus the tons of photos we all have there. So far this site looks good.
