Another Spare tire Question? Can I use.........

my "Front OEM" and or "Rear OEM" tire as a spare tire? Can I leave it in my trunk on Long distance trips (only) and use one of them as a spare tire? I have 20" after market wheels on my car currently. What would happen if I ran a front OEM tire on the rear, on the wrong side? Would it even fit? Would it work for a short period of time or would it be catastrophic? Thanks guys.

If your gonna carry a full size spare at least carry one that's the same diameter as the tires & wheels your running with.........especially if you plan to run more than a few miles after repair or at any speed.

The OEM front wheel will fit on the rear.
There were warnings about changing direction of rotation on some tires, but this might not be an issue with modern tires.

I carry an OEM front wheel as a spare. Strap it down to keep it from shifting around.
