welcome and congrarts on the M.
the best advice on learning about your new M and making it perform to its fullest, is to research posts on this forum. that should just about answer any/all your questions. good luck!!

Why do you have runflats on your car? Do non-US cars come with them?

Char filters out now... Do a search for mods - there are a million threads on mods you can do to her. Char filter removal is free and you'll get some horse that way. From there your on your own as far as what you want to do. Just have fun with it and enjoy..... Once you start modding her you'll never stop.. I have promised myself to stop after each mod I have done and I am still modding her out.. Again ENJOY! Its an awesome car!! And one last word of advice - be careful - she churns a lot of power....

What do you mean by " runflats"???
By the picture it seems to be conti's 2, and those are NOT runflats.
If you are not happy with them, then your best bet might be, with PS2 from Michellin.

As nice as the E39 is, for sheer performance the E60 is in a different league. Once you pass the 1,200 mile service, open her up in second and third to 8,250 and try telling us it feels slow. I had a 996 turbo and I know once they're rolling my grocery getter would take it.
Also, I highly doubt they're runflats. More pics would be nice so we can be sure.
For the member who suggested CF removal, only North American cars the carbon filter.

check your owners manual under changing a tire it differentiates performance from run flats with a code on the tire. i'm not near my car so i can't do it for you mate.
