Network Q GB Rally.

Looks like the title may well go to Richard Burns and his Subaru, after Makinen and McCrae crash out.

I was hoping that McCrae would do it, so close yet so far.

Andy,

Thats great news as I would really like Burns to win the championship and as long as he finishes 4th or higher he will. His dad was a customer of mine when he worked at the AA in Basingstoke and we sponsored Richard in some local rallies. Come a long way since then as I think he was driving a Sunbeam back in those days

Talbot Sunbeam Ti I suppose!! I was hoping that McCrae would do it I must admit, but what the hell, if Richard clinches it, well done to him, still another Brit holding the crown.
If he does it, I've heard that Subaru may restrain him from leaving and joining Peugeot.
Hope they don't, I'd like to see what he can do with a 206WRC. Perhaps then Peugeot will start selling some serious 206 'altered' motors a-la' Subaru.

Really pleased that Richard Burns won the Rally Championship after being so close the last couple of years. Interesting to see if Subaru still let him join Peugeot

Just noticed this was my 555 post. Spooky or what

Well, Peugeot have a 206 Peugeot Sport (PS) in the pipeline with 186 bhp. There are rumours of a special 300 bhp 4x4 limited edition, but I wonder if that is not wishful thinking...

Fair play to Richard Burns, although I do find Colin more sympathic...

I suppose looking like Steve Davis and having a similar lack of personality doesn't help. Next year could be interesting though with all the driver changes and improved TV coverage.
