          New 7-series

Went to my local BMW dealer today(to show my new car ), I spent 1/2 hour inside the new seven series, toying with I-drive.
Must say that I haven't had the time to enter all the menus due to the load of functions that are controlled by it.
It is fun, but (to all future owners) you'll need some time to master it.
The seats are practically the same as the old ones (very comfortable) and those ventilation/cooling ( how do I say?) fans inside them are really pleasant.
My next car sure will be the E65 Alpina B12.
But does anyone knows what the specifications will be?
Hope that it is going to be better than the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG (444hp/620Nm).

Don't worry, I trust Alpina for making the E65 B12 a MUCH better car than the Benz !

          Thanks for the link, Eric.

Mostly when I search the web for the new 7, the only thing I get are german pages, which I can read but not fully understand.
This time a lotta info in english.
Will the american 7-series be much different from the euro one?

I hear you Seven, there isn't too much info out yet on the E65, especially in English. I have seen it in real life and it looks quite nice in my opinion, quite mean and powerful looking.

According to that BMWnation article on the American 7, the biggest difference between the US & European model would be:

          1. No Steptronic in the January/Feb launch due to EPA, Gas Guzzler issues, Steptronic will be introduced later on.

          2. Dynamic Drive (active suspension) being standard in the US model.

          3. The American E65 having knee bags.

Check out the following link, someone posted the 745i US ordering guide.

          cheers,
          Eric
