Down... as the outside comes in from the top an thru the filter as it comes out the other side, the air flows to the large duct opposite the fender side and on to the fan/cabin.

          There are no dumb questions...

          .
I'm going to say UP. On my car, the arrow is pointing up, and the bottom side is dirty, leaf particles etc.

Down - air flows from around the enclosure, through the filters and into the round tube leading to your firewall.

if the cleaned air flows to the snorkels which leads to the cabin, then the air flow must be UP as the the filters sits BELOW the snorkels. My guess...

Normally I'd go look, but the inch of ice on my hood prevents it.

In any case, look at the round tube going to the firewall - that is the "out" from the box. The arrow should be pointing to the space that feeds that tube.

          I'm willing to be wrong

Now I need to look.... I had spent two days bleeding the clutch and brakes, the reservoir is below the filter assy. I stand corrected!!! The dirty side of the filter is to the bottom side, also the water drain is on that side too. Clean air side is up.

          Thanks Mottati!!!
