          Swapping Lug Bolts

To replace the lug bolts on a wheel that is already on the car is it safe to simply swap one bolt at a time or should all be changed at the same time, ala installing a wheel?

          Thanks In Advance.

It won't be a problem. The car's weight isn't held on the lugs. The weight is on the hub. I know from experience. I was changing the rear on my 540 on the side of a freeway, I had removed all the lugs, car rolled off the jack, and the rim/tire stayed on. Fortunately for me the hub was a tight fit.

Captain is correct. Just remove and install the new lugs one by one, hand tight. Once all of them are hand tight, use your torque wrench to tighten in the normal star pattern. Go take the car for a spin around the block and come back and re-torque. Done.
