grinding, rubbing noise - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

toddg Junior Member, warming up (<31 posts) Join Date: Oct 2000 Location: ridgefield, ct usa Posts: 12 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts	grinding, rubbing noise started hearing a grinding/rubbing noise when executing tight turns at low speed. This graduated to more frequent, and louder noises when turning, and accelerating in first gear. Net result: dealer tech took a 2 minute ride with me, confirmed - talked to BMW NA, and replaced the differential/final drive assembly. seems to be working fine now, and acceleration/responsiveness actually seems improved. anyone else had this problem?
