Exclamation Drive carefully because DSC & HPS cannot prevent these sad pictures!

Please be careful, guys! Use your better judgement, don't take your powerful ///M cars beyond 6/10ths on twisty public roads, keep both hands on the wheel, switch on DSC, be very alert, and never drive fast on unfamiliar roads. If you want to exploit the full potential of your cars, please suit up and do as many laps as you wish on a race-track. For these are the consequences:

          Peter

          Scary !

Never forget that the ABS, DSC, ASC +T, etc.. can't avoid the elementary physics laws...

...and many of the other drivers on the road should not be driving at all

In this case, the M3 actually was not going all that fast, approximately 60 - 70 mph, I have read. A drunk driver coming the other came over into his lane, and he hit a light pole while trying to avoid a head-on crash. Might have been better off with the head-on, unfortunately. The owner of this M3 was a regular over at bimmer.org, and was always adamant about seat belts, airbags, and driving skill. He was rather tall, which may have been a contributing factor in this case (very little distance between the driver's head and the windshield frame).
