H&R Spring Install- Ride softened?

I just finished installing the H&R lowered springs and the ride seems to be softer and have more sway.

I don't feel a difference when I toggle the EDC. It seems as if it is locked in comfort mode- which I never really drove in before.

The car honestly feels less sporty after the install. Any ideas????

Are you sure the springs didn't come off a Buick LeSabre? In all seriousness, you should feel the car "tighten up" after the install and although the 3 EDC settings are harder to distinguish from one to another with the H&R's on, you should still tell a difference.

Sooooo, If I were in your shoes I would:

1. Drive it a bit longer (couple hundred miles) to allow the springs to "settle". I do not believe these springs "settle" but some do on this board.
2. Maybe have somebody else take a look at the install.....

Do you have a side shot of the car? It would be interesting to compare your ride height with others as well.

6speed, thanks for the feedback.

I don't have a side shot yet. Did it last night and I'm at work now.
It definitely sits lower and looks great, just seems alot softer.

It may be in my head, but I don't remember much sway at all, and now it seems to sway alot.

If in fact it is swaying more, something is wrong....

All I hear about with the springs is how much tighter it gets. If I could lower my car and soften the ride without sacrificing performance I would do it in a heartbeat.

Any chance you may have forgotten to reconnect the EDC when you installed your springs? You probably would have gotten some error message if you did but just thought I'd ask.

yeah something like that !! it sounds as if your edc is not functioning !! the springs will only make the car tighter and lessen the body roll !!

After installing H&R springs, the ride is definitely and noticeably stiffer. The EDC setting changes are also noticeable. I would get the installation checked for sure and double check that you have the right springs.

I made sure to plug all the wires back in. That was my first thought, that the EDC was unplugged. I looked for some type of warning or message to pop up. I will check them again tonight.

Thanks for the feedback.

What is the stock spring rate and what is the rate of the springs you purchased?

Are you sure you are not mistaking sway for pitch? My car sways less but pitches more because the springs are so much stiffer and the shocks are bouncing off the bump stops on big potholes.
