The wait is finally over... First M5 in Laos!!!

After nearly 4 months of agony, the beautiful beast has finally arrived. I never had the chance to test drive the M5 before I made the purchase, but after driving out of the customs warehouse... I was extremely impressed. The Interlagos Blue is just AMAZING. Pictures can't really capture the true essence of the special hue... I would say at times it's bluish purple, other times purplish blue, or blue with a hint of purple. When I first stepped onto the lot to look for the beast, I almost didn't recognize it, but when I saw it... I was amazed... Interlagos Blue is a color I would expect at one of those tuner competitions. Just beautiful.
The interior is perfect. I've never sat in such comfortable seats, so soft but yet so firm. The seats hug you so well, but you still feel like your in a race car. My GL450's multi-fuction seats with Nappa leather doesn't even come close. The design concept is perfect. BMW really knew what it was doing, when it created the idrive. All the buttons that you would normally see on the dash has been placed in idrive. When I first sat in the car, I started looking for this and that button, but they were all in idrive. I said to myself: How inconvenient, that I have to go to idrive just to change vent settings. But in actuality, it's not inconvenient. BMW takes into consideration the amount of times you will actually spend for instance adjusting the base, or adjusting the vent.. and the answer is once in a long while. So, there was no need to clutter the dash with unnecessary buttons and dials. It make the interior simply beautiful.
Now to the DSC arguement. Don't let DSC inability to disengage be a factor in deciding not to get the 6-speed. I still have as much fun as I had before when I was driving a Vtec Integra back in the days. You can still peel out, chirp 2nd and chirp 3rd without a problem. The fun is still there. I'm sure all of you remember a couple of months back when I would ask about the DSC in the 6-speed. Well, in my personal experience, it's not something to be concerned. The 6-speed beast is still so damn fun to drive, even if I can't turn off DSC. Go 6-speed if that's where your heart wants to go.
Well, here are some pictures of the beast around Vientiane, Laos. I'll take some interior shots later.

Considering he shipped the car from across the world I thought it was a reasonable question. If they had a local dealer why not buy it there?

Do they have paved roads in Iran?
