Unfortunately, member Ben L confirmed our worst fear that Harold was indeed the silver E60 on the Merritt. Link to thread Our prayers and best wishes go out to him for a quick recovery. The epitome of a car guy in the truest sense of the term and a genuinely nice guy.

The fact that this happened to a very experienced driver is a sober warning to all of us. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

I read the other post about how it was a rainy day, these cars give you such a sense of security in the rain. I just did the skid pad in an M6 at the performance center and I felt invincible with DSC on. This goes to show you can never be too safe. Hopefully all ends well for him though.

I was very curious to know his condition, but then visited the old thread I had been monitoring and found out he was in the hospital.
It's crazy how this board seems like such a family to me even though I have never met most of the members including HC. I will keep him in my prayers and hope that in the near future he will be back up and running so to speak.
