Me and my father will be in the Bay area on that weekend (November 9/10) and we would greatly appreciate to be there. We may show up with a rental car though

I've got to check something before I vote, but I expect to be there either way. Arie, be careful over there.

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted for quite a while, but I've been getting my car worked on for 6 weeks, and I've been trying not to think of the pain and agony...anyway, I'll have it back for either drive, and will attend as long as we don't drive too fast (I freak out at high speeds). Lookin' forward to seeing everyone (where will it start?)

Quad,

So you are a little afraid of high speeds? Well..... we promise you will not hear on the two way radios, drivers stating " I've got air"! This is actually a quote from our last drive. I do not remember the driver, but I do remember the place or hill in the road. I had to grab my stomach off the roof of the car!

What fun. Oh, excuse me, we will not be doing this.

Who wants to caravan from Southern California?

Mark

MAH - I remember that!

It was our own John Vink. Although the M5 came safely back to earth, I recall we had to to haul John down from his hovering position 3 feet off the ground when we made our next stop.

I think there are lots of us who are ready for a slower paced alternative this time. We all know our luck will run out sooner or later - it is only a question of time, and the risks of law enforcement intervention increase dramatically with larger groups of cars. Maybe we should set it up with two run groups - the hot shots and the colder olders.......

/Greg

Greg,

A more sane pace is a good idea - especially along the coast. I have a solution for the next drive; you set the pace in front of the pack. The only way I'll have a chance to get air is trying to keep up with you.

You guys know I'm with you on keeping the wild speeds down. Cruising at speed limit +15 instead of speed limit+50? Sounds smart.

Sounds like last year's meet was a rush for some and a bad adventure for others. I'll definitly try to be at the drive if it's on the 9th or 10th but I'll probably be at the back of the pack with a rental car! Actually....with the recent events my parents have talked about going with the M5......
