Recommendations for RD that doesn't false alarm with Climate Windscreen

Anyone with a firm recommendation for a Radar Detector that doesn't continuallty false alarm with the "Climate Comfort Windscreen" that I have in my Beast.
I have given up with my Bel Vector 95, and an earlier model Cobra, as they both suffer with continual random false alarms. It almost seems like any signal that they receive is "bounced" between the window film and the receiver, resulting in a continual alert that will not go away until the power is cut and restored!
I just have to find a solution. Driving around without one in the UK is an invite to a ticket of some description.
(For guys outside the UK:- We have so many GATSO cameras pointing at us. No joke. Also quite a few Radar and Laser guns.)
Anyone recommend a Laser Jammer that is discreet and works well.
Ta

Loz,

Hmmm... to me it sounds like the two radar detectors you mention (Bel Vector 95 and the Cobra) are old & out-dated. These older units have internal oscillators (LOs, or "Local Oscillators") which are probably leaking out their main antenna and are reflecting off your Climate Windscreen back into the unit itself. This causes random "falses".

The newest detectors are "VG2-proof". You may want to visit the Valentine1 website for more reading on this...

The Valentine V1 and (I believe) the Passport 8500 are designed to have minimal LO leakage. This makes them "VG2-proof".

I use a V1, but other people on this board would recommend the 8500. I don't know which one is available to you over in the UK…

Thanks Russ.
It certainly looks like I'm going to have to do some more research!
I didn't think the Bel Vector 95 was all that old as I only bought it in the US in June? Although it is quite possible that it has an older design as you described. The Bel does claim to be VG2 proof.
I was hoping that someone with the same type of windscreen could recommend a make that doesn't have any probs.
