VDO unit for a B6 3.5

Hi
I am connecting up a vdo unit with the no. 410.209/009/001
Alpina no.62 10 026
I know what the green and brown wire does but cannot work out what the grey wire is for.
Any help on this

BTW I have question about this unit: is it reading the pressure or only the vaccum? My german is not enough good for that article on e30.de (as far as I can read german it is saying that it is reading +- 6 bar but can anyone confirm it?).

The pressure shown is manifold pressure. For a non-turbo car that will be between 0-1 bar, for a turbo car obviously more.

Of course, I only didn't know can it read the pressure (was designed for na engine).
