Did Standox reverse-engineer the BMW and Alpina paints or do they supply the factory?
as far as im aware bmw uses paint from standox and has done for years

Not sure if its the right one, as I didnt get any production time specifications.
If it differs a lot from the one you've got, let me know. I've got a few Alpina Blau's to choose from, but need to check on what the exact differences are, as they can be caused by anything over the years, especially since we're all spraying cars with color coded tea these days..

Thanks for the link! The color of my '90 B10 BT is "Dunkelsaphirblau" Alpina Nr. 07 59 016. Looking into the Standox site, it seems "Alpina Blue" may not have come along until 1994. The formulas are similar. I'm sticking with the Dunkelsaphirblau, should be the correct color for the car.

it came before 1994 and there ar two different shades, one is early one and one at a later date
