Updating Unofficial Alpina homepage

Just wondering if anyone is interested in helping to update the slightly outdated Unofficial Alpina homepage. For those who don't know the webpage it can be found here: www.m5board.com/alpina

The history of the webpage pre-dates Alpina's own homepage by several years and was started by our very own boardmember Janne.

What is needed are write-ups in the same style for the following cars:
* E90 D3
* E60/E61 B5
* E63 B6
* pictures of the facelift E65/E66 B7
* E85 Roadster S

Any takers?

Once that is done I'd like to focus on giving the look of the webpage an update.

Is there a particular reason why you don't simply merge this with http://www.thealpinaregister.com? Seems more efficient...

That's a none starter, I had a post removed for daring to recommend who you mentioned to another Alpina enthusiast

It strikes me that the one site has a vibrant community of Alpina owners (albeit mostly UK) but limited historical information, while the other has (in the form of the unofficial webpage), useful information and (in the form of this sub-forum) also a vibrant community, with 50% crossover of membership and a stronger European contingent.

I have to say, a combination of the two would be the best outcome, from my perspective.

Sounds like a good plan as such - it's just figuring out the shape and form it should take.

Problem is that forums cannot promote themselves via other forums.

It is a difficult line to decide.

(a) who says they can't

(b) what we're discussing here is less a promotion of a "competing" board, more a pooling of mutual resources...

Taipan, when originally announced, the B7 was supposed to have 475PS and it was subsequently uprated to 500PS.
