Post B6 2,8 oil cooler?

Did the e21 B6 2,8 come with a oil cooler like the e30 B6? If so how much more oil did it hold?

No the E21 B6 never came with a oil cooler, and if i remember correct the E30 B6 got the cooler first in the 3,5l model as the oem 3,5l BMW engine also has it. IMHO a cooler wouldn´t do any harm, especially where you live, but on the other hand stock is stock
BTW do you have the distributorless(?) Dr. Hartig ignition system on your B6? It´s funny because the Alpina techspec from -82 claims that the B6 has it but for instance in the AMS article from -81 the B6 has a ordinary distributor, and on every picture i have seen of the B6´s engine room there has been a distributor From a fellow B6´er wishing you luck in your project

Hi there B6 523,
So i take it you a B6 # 523 1982? what color ? I have been having trouble in locating alot of info for my car. No one here in the states really knows what these cars are all about and for parts, no way. Do you have engine specs for this car? any extra parts you like to sell ? I am looking for the ALPINA badges that go on the front seats, and a 260 k.m.h speedo. When the car came into the states it was replaced with a M.P.H and white needle. If you can help me in any way with information and who to contact for parts that would be very helpfull. No, I have the regular distrubitor. thanks for the help......

My B6 is Delphin metallic. I can imagine that you have a lot of trouble getting any information and parts to the B6 over there. I have too and i live in Europe! I think that i have to send a fax to Alpina and ask all the questions i can think of from them because every place you look for info you get a different answer Considering the engine specs i just have compression ratio and ignition timing data. I am also looking for B6 parts so i keep my eyes open, and as you own a B6 i rather sell Alpina parts to you than to anyone that thinks he´s funny when he strips an Alpina and puts the parts on a standard BMW

Hi B6,
You have the compression and timing specs, I would love to have those numbers. Do you have any pictures of your car, interior and engine shots? I am trying to rebuild everything and would like to make sure i got all area's covered the right way. So what country you in? I was living in France for almost two years than came back to San Francisco, I loved being in europe, cant wait to get back. Also my visit to Alpina factory was a nice highlight of my travels.
