Engine number

Hello, everyone.

My acquaintance tried to start acceleration
from about 230kph, but his car's acceleration
was very slow.

His car is B12 5.0 saloon.
He seems to doubt that engine was replaced by a normal 750 engine by previous owner because of engine blow or something.

I know that real Alpina cars have a alpina shassis number and it is written in the engine room.

Is there ALPINA ENGINE NUMBER ?
And where is it written ?

I am also a ALPINA owner, but do not know
about this and cannot advise him.
Tell me information.

Thanks.
