Re: B5 at 330km/h
Wow! That is in line with what the testdriver at Alpina told us at IAA that it does not rev to redline, but hits the aerodynamic limit before.

Re: B5 at 330km/h
The numbers work out perfectly:
from the product folder:
6th gear ratio 0.63
final ratio 3.38
Tires 275/35 ZR 19
Wheel radius (19x25.4)/2 =241.3mm
Tire height (275*0.35) =96.25mm
Rolling circumfence wheel+tire 2*pi*(241.3+96.25) =2120.8mm
1000rpm in 6th gear ((1000*60)/0.69)*3.38*2120.8/1000 =54.56204 km/h
6000rpm in 6th gear (6*54.56204) =327.3km/h

Re: B5 at 330km/h
Actually Andy Bovensiepen had a very similar photo when he was at Donnington - taken when he did the high speed testing at Nardo - this may even be the same photo....

Re: B5 at 330km/h
Take a way 10 kph in error and you have app. the same they got at Nardo.
I really doubt the B5 will do 330 kph in real speed.
320 ph is fast as hell as it is.

Rolling circumfence wheel+tire 2*pi*(241.3+96.25) =2120.8mm
Actually the correct math is:
(((1000*60)/0.69)/3.38)*2120.89/1000000 = 54.56367 km/h per 1000 rpm
The tach needle seems to indicate a tad under 6 say 5950 rpm = 324.65 km/h
Does anyone know if this is a stock B5 or one of the "happy" engines?
