Stalking

They have nicer smilies over here

I have seen a B10 4.6 Touring in "Carbon Black" on 19" wheels which has been getting me hot and bothered.

It is confirmed as genuine by Alpina just need to sort out a test drive - then the 30000CHF to buy and 3300CHF for a years worth of insurance!

How cool are these

Sounds like a nice car - let me know how you get on.
Would that be your first Alpina?

Re: Member Richard Estoril Blue Alpina B12 6,0 (430 HP 750i based E38)

First Alpina, first V8, first car with more then 200PS (other then test drives).

Lots of cherries to lose on this purchase.

As long as it is not my first wallet sapping, bank breaking, girlfriend losing car I dont mind

I love Alpina wheels - they are the coolest - and the dash is also rather cool - 330kmh in a family estate.

Just to have to get the money sorted and test drive the beast.

I have tried Audi RS2s and found them exciting to drive buy incredibly dull to be in. They look dated, and could prove more expensive than an Alpina.

Mind you I wont spunk 1500 euros on seat stitching!!

Hi Richard,

I hope that you don't mind me asking but would I be asked for a 3 figure or 4 figure sum if I were to ask Alpina to sell me a proper binacle for our B12 6.0? It is the only thing that really bugs about the car as it periodically winds itself off the end of the speedo - abroad of course! I have attempted to put a couple of pics of it on my profile - Midnight blue with champagne leather.

Thanks,

Jonathan

When I commissioned this speedo, Sytners were informed, and they asked their service department to contact any owners of B.12 (6.0) to ask if they wanted to purchase one. The price I am paying is 1300 euros. It would have been cheaper if more people had wanted one.
There were no takers so I went ahead (being delivered next week).

This price is a direct price from Siemens/VDO which Alpina have passed on to me at cost price. If you want one I can ask for you.

Personally if I had been the one paying £115k for this car... I would have sent it back and told them to sort the bloody speedo out.

PM or email me if you want details.

DodgyKen...... more ammunition ...dont start

Moi - I can be very restrained!!!

It was very nice when I did the first check on the B10 - to sit there with the engine burbling along (idled at 1300 before dropping to 1000 after a minute - I expected lower - should I?) - looking at a nice blue speedo calibrated to the naughty side of 330kmh!!

I must call up for a test drive today

Mine idles at 700/800 rpm - 1300 seems high. Check that out!

It was only for the first minute and I have no idea how long it have been sat doing nothing.

It did take a minute to drop to 1000 - and I will check this when I test drive the car

Hopefully for an hour or 2!!
