BMW Alpina B6S -08.

My new Alpina has been with me for some months now and here are my impressions.

First the story behind it is really interesting. First owner and the one I bought the car from is quite famous within hockey (russian national team) and the car was specially ordered with the lavalina interior in red and black. Roof line is in black alcantara.

The car seem to have been driven the first year and then stood still for 6(!) years at Bentley in Riga, Latvia. The car was ordered in two tone and yes, some might find the color concept being crazy, but the more I look at it and talking to people at car meetings most impressions are that they really like it. Especially the interior. I can only say that I am shocked over the super car feeling it gives me. Yes I have been driving old cars mostly, but the E63 chassis and look is just absolutely stunning! Chris Bangle new what he was doing and this might be one of those cars that stands out in a future collection.

The power seem endless and if taking it up to higher speeds I've felt nothing like it. The torque is instant and linear and at the same time so quiet, maybe too quiet. But apparently its way more louder on the outside having a noise (music?) comparable to AMGish opera .

My feeling from the start has been that there's more power than stated from Alpina. I therefore did a dyno run with it. The result was:

546hp (530 claimed) and 787Nm (725 claimed). Almost 800Nm! .

Under the car it looked like new. The company conducting the waxing under was asking several times if the car was new =). Even the original tires was on the car, but they had cracks so I bought new ones. Moreover I've treated the leather interior and will do so once more before putting it away for the winter.

Hope you find the car interesting despite the color combo . The car currently has 27k Km on the meter.

as you said,, the color combo is unique,, and not for me to be honest . but the car is great and this low km is a super bonus
