I just got 2007 black /black Alpina B7 (just under 11,000 miles) and turned in 2007 black/black M6. This B7 is very impressive in all around performance. It has been more than 5 years since my last 4 dr sedan, 2003 CB M5. This is so civil to drive but ready to launch at any time.

bought my first alpina
just got it saturday, wonderful drive

it's a 1973 3.0 CSL B2S, factory built

would it be heresy to put a bat wing on it?

i'll send a picture if i can figure out how to

Hello Califbowman,

Congrats for owning such a rare car ! Please post some pics and tell us the story !

Not sure the Bat wing would be a good idea as chances for your car being an early (read : without aerofoils)
Alpina CSL are IMO very important. There is only one Alpina CSL that can be put on the road with aerofoils
(based on VIN #) and this car is in a private collection in Germany.

Your car however could (if not already done) have a small Alpina front spoiler, those were available as of 1972.

yah it's got the front spoiler already. i was joking about the batwing, but i really do like them. i'll post some pics in a week or so, but car does look exactly the same s you'd see in canepa's website if you google bmw 3.0 csl alpina. this is the lichenstein prince car, chassi 5336.

Thanks for sharing the chassis number as well. I indeed was thinking about +2275 336+ as Alpina CSLs are not common
and it would have been a real surprise if your car would have been a different one. But one never knows !

You just bought this car ? I am excited to see pictures and the story !

P.S. My first CSL (was not an Alpina CSL) was chassis +2275 333+ Very close to you car !Interesting to see that both cars
(Polaris Silver) have been really close on the production line and only distant by a couple of meters for some hours...
