Oops! Getting a little too old and a little to foggy. Forgot the 2003 BMW X5 4.4i on the list. Nice to have had so many BMWs that I can forget one. A true BMW junkie, am I.

Anyone know the proper procedure for changing one's screen name? Without the '02 5er, RedHot5 doesn't seem quite right anymore.

Power on..............

She's been up in NY for a number of years. It was advertised in the BMWCCA Roundel classifieds. It took me many months and several visits to finally decide to take it on.

Just bought BMW E28 Alpina one owner original

Hi all,
I have just bought a one of a kind vehicle in Australia as far as I know if there is anybody else who know's of another in Australia then by all means let me know as I'm going on what the guy who sold it to me says.
The vehicles listed items as bought from Capital Motors in Sydney from new in 1985 and is a left hand drive.

1.White with small blue and red stripping on sides
2.Front Air Dam
3.Sun roof electric
4.Alpina mags
5.Recaro type front seats
6.STD engine 2.8 ltr
7.sports suspension
8.ABS brakes
9.limited slip diff coupled to a five speed manual gearbox.

The vehicle is in terrific shape inside but the outside is original and is showing it's age it has not faded but has a few stone chips on the bonnet.
It has never been smashed or resprayed as is shown with the paint work it has done an original 475,000 kilometers on the original engine and all service history right up to the day of sale plus the books were also with the vehicle. The car still drives like new and has really been well looked after.
I have had the rear muffler done as with the center drive shaft bearing and the air conditioner is due to be repaired on Tuesday that will bring the whole car back to original spec mechanically.

It is my weekend cruiser and won't be used unless my other Auto E28 requires servicing.

My Auto sedan has been modified under the bonnet quite a bit and runs very smooth and it's quicker than the Alpina manual Top speed is unknown and I really don't wish to find out as is the actual power increase but both are 2.8 e30 engines The fuel consumption has increased in the auto since the mods have been done and there are more to come over the next few weeks the auto is driven on our freeway for about 200 kilometers every day that was the main reason I bought because of it's highway gearing and cruise capabilities trust me when I say It's a dream on the highway the auto has been up and down the east coast of Australia so far without a hitch for the three years that I have owned it.
So all in all I'm looking forward to all that I can be involved with on the board.

Thanks and Regards Aquaro
