I have just got rid off M5 Carbon black and is for sale at hexagon bmw in london, had enough of the 16 miles to the gallon.
I now have a b3 3.3 coupe individual, I want to fit the original classic phone which I have managed to get hold of, the one that replaced the cup holder/ storage compartment near the hand brake.
I have the phone, sim card module which goes in the boot and mic which should sit in the panel above the rear mirror.
Problem seems there is no wiring, I have approached several dealers which show very little intrest, as the chassis number books it as a 328, and the alpina number is no good to them.
I suspect I have to fit an additional loom but hope this is not the case
Dont do it, if you want performance buy the M3 its a much better car no matter what anyone says, otherwise stick with the B3, the M5 is dated now I am waiting for the new model to arrive:7:
I prefer the B3 to the M3 or indeed the M5,
The M3 E46 as far as I am concerned is a better car than the dated M5, I have owned many cars some of the following
1 x M3 evo, 1 x B10, 1 X E46 B3 Saloon, 1 X E46 B3 Coupe, 1 x 330 Sport
1 x E39 540i, 1 X E46 M3, 1 X E39 M5 and many many more other performance cars.
The B3 is a good all round car and very hard to fault, the M3 and M5 I could fault in many areas.
On a dry hot day I dont think there is many cars that could keep up with the M3 E46 dispite what persons or magazines say its a screemer and that engine does rev very well
Thanks for your thoughts on the next car; however I have overriding family considerations - i.e. we can't all fit, with all the stuff that babies have, into the B3 anymore... And I've agreed with the dearest to get a four door. My B3 is a four door anyway, otherwise I'd have got an M3 instead at the time. So a larger car for me it is.... hence the M5.
Otherwise I'd have bought the car that's better than all of those, one mint example of which my friend here is selling soon - the 850CSi or course.
Kind regards
Simon
P.S. - had a B10 Touring whilst in Holland and found it a bit TOO big, if you know what I mean, hence a 5 series saloon....
Well Simon thats a fair point, my old M5 is at http://www.hexagon-bmw.co.uk/
Carbon Black 20,500 miles, and you wont find a better car, the grill and badges I had 24K gold plated and have just sold the number plate M5 AYE, did look the Biz.
Hope you find the right car
