Early years b7's

I found on the net 2 E12 B7 models , one in mint condition, and the other one... can possibly illustrate the next standard Alpina floor mat ?

These models were the first ones I knew from Alpina, 25 years ago.
Ma passion was born with this B7 version, and grew up with the b7 S, B6, B10 bt, ... and you? What was the first Alpina version you ever heard about?

I think the car on the second picture is a standard E12 5-series. The first one is just beautiful!!

The car in the second picture does not have the gauges for boost pressure, oil temperature and rear-axle temperature. In addition, there's no red needles on the gauges in front of the steering wheel (speedometer etc). I'm half inclined to agree with Mr Janne in his opinion that it might be a regular BMW E12. Another possibility is that it could be one of the early Alpina E12-models...

The first Alpina that I ever heard about was the E12 Alpina B7 Turbo that my father bought, I think it was in 1985. At that time, however, I didn't realize what it was. The second Alpina that I got in touch with was an Alpina B10 BiTurbo (either it was #001 or the prototype), which was Mr Bovensiepen's personal car. My father was allowed to borrow it for a test-ride during our visit to Buchlohe in 1988.

For some off-topic, this also means that I have met Mr Bovensiepen, although I was too young to remember or to realize the weight of that encounter.

Sadly not... Not that I know of anyway. But I'll try to remember to ask my father if he took any pictures during the visit there. If he did I will hopefully be able to scan them in and put them up somewhere...
