Alpina parts versus BMW
Hi all.

Just had an oil service on my B10V8 - and at the same time the front discs and pads needed changing.

The fact they had the parts in stock made we wonder - is there anywhere that has a complete list of all the differences between a B10V8 and a 540i? I hate it when the service sheet says "540i" instead of "B10V8" in case someone ends up putting the wrong parts on, or uses the wrong alignment settings, wrong tyre pressures, wrong type or grade of oil etc etc.

So - is there a complete list of all the differences (parts and settings) between the B10V8 and the 540i??

Yes, there are a "bunch" of specific Alpina parts...Here you go the Alpina parts cataloge ( go to B10 V8 ), courtesy of 540is.

OK, thanks - took me several attempts to get into the document (kept coming up as corrupted for some reason) but eventually managed it.

I note that the part numbers next to the brake discs is different to the part number of the components my BMW dealer fitted. Should I be concerned about this? Dumb question - I *am* concerned about this.

I guess I'd better phone Sytner to ask them...
