B7 Extended Warranty Question

Hey Guys,
I have a 2008 B7 Alpina. I stupidly let my factory warranty expire back in June 2012 by accident, now I am having big problems finding a decent company that will sell me an extended warranty for a decent price. Have any of you purchased an extended warranty for your 2007-2008 B7, if so who is it through, are you happy with it and how much did you pay?
Thanks In Advance,
Myles

Extended warranty

Make sure that whoever sells you the Zurich warranty does a documented 100% inspection on your vehicle prior to selling you the warranty.

I highly recommend United Auto Care IF they still cover the B7. Their policies are most often sold out of the dealerships themselves. If you are debating, I can tell you that I am at about 75k miles on my 07, and United Auto Care has had to pay around 25k in claims within the past year! Never had an issue getting them to cover massive repairs either. The cost was hefty, around 6-7k for their best coverage up to 100k miles, but well worth it.

Finally, I am aware of at least one or two other folks who have gotten their warranty with AUL.

Good luck.

Hossy, thanks for the input, I will check with your company on coverage. Most companies won't write the B7. What repairs have you had that cost $25k? My auxiliary cooling fan went out last month at a cost of $1750, that's when I found out warranty was expired.
Now my soft close door mechanism is not working, $600 part. I need a warranty!
Thanks

Well, as we speak, my B7 is at the dealer. I've had to have an entirely new supercharger put in to replace the old one (14k by itself), front suspension components replaced, rear axle replaced, A/C fan replaced, sunroof motor twice, Active cruise Control replaced, etc. Those are the bigger ones off the top of my head!

To be honest, I love the B7 and think it is the BEST value for a high performance, exclusive, luxury sedan on the used market. But in the past 6 months I have had it into service once a month for about 4 days on average each time. It is starting to weigh on me, as it is my 3rd car, but used as my DD. I am just getting tired of taking it in so often and the additional inconvenience of something going wrong every month, despite not having to pay much out of pocket. I am seriously considering selling mine with just about 10 months and 25k miles of warranty left to go with a much newer car, although I will consider it a downgrade in almost every other category.

Howdy, that is exactly why I want an extended warranty, the supercharger scares me! I will compare coverage between Zurich and United. My car only has 40k miles and is not a daily driver.

I'd recommend Zurich as well. So far they've covered everything my dealer has requested (knock on wood) on my 2007 B7. Bought it through a group buy with the M5 guys on their board, so pricing was decent. Can't remember the exact number off hand.
