Videos with my B8 Touring!!!

Here are some videos from the BMW meeting in Denmark on May 5th this year. I was out for a spirited drive with two other cars; a red E36 325i Coupe BiTurbo (425PS and 600Nm) and a black E30 325i Convertible Biturbo (390PS and ? Nm).

E30 325i Biturbo / E36 Alpina B8 Touring (280km/h)(Part I)

E36 Alpina B8 Touring. I am revving the car from idle to redline in neutral here. Notice how quickly it reaches the redline! The sound is lacking a lot of the lower frequencies unfortunately due to the crappy camera microphone.

The area where the meeting took place doesnt look that picturesque (is that a farm building?), however it is completly disguised by the wonderful machinery!

The meeting too place at Koed 3er ophug ( www.koed-3er.dk ) which is the largest BMW parts dealer in Denmark. They have a few buildings out in rural farm land. They also have at least 400 salvaged BMWs at all times (you can see some in the background) so you can get very hard to find parts here (not every part has a corresponding sparepart from BMW) or get second hand parts really cheap. Yeah it is not scenic, but they had free beer, soft drinks and hot dogs And many interesting BMW's. All in all it was a really good meeting. (I have forgotten about the scratches by now )

Yeah both Biturbo cars were really powerful. The red E36 killed my B8 soo bad from 50-150km/h you wouldn't believe it. It does 0-160kmh (0-100mph) in less than 7 seconds... Off the line I won the 0-100 km/h races though And I was also faster than the black E30 overall. But really impressive.

Guess why I am looking for a B3 3.2... hehehe

Well it might not have been the most scenic place on earth, but the beer was cold, the women were hot and the cars were fast

Hehe, That is the spirit !

Now seriously, what a big front brake discs the B8 has ! I've never seen any in real life and they seem pretty impressive. I guess both E30 and E36 biturbo don't have those brakes. They forgot about a really really important part....

Oh, and I can see the scratches from here !:p

Yes and I pointed that out to the owners (they are friends of mine) and they assured me that they were going to uprate the brakes. The E30 in fact did have bigger brakes (from a B6 3.5) but not quite big enough for the power on tap.

At some point during the first high speed drive I was in front and braked very hard. The B8 has violent braking power and the other two cars had to go left and right around me since their brakes were not up to the task.

No matter where I go people always are in awe of the brakes (of course over the engine as well, but you all know that )

B8 Guru, nice videos! Annoyingly fast that turbo 325i

I really enjoy the V8 roar from a 3 series Touring, that is unique!

I know you take well care of them and keep it up
