Yes. the old engines are numbered like this

E31-E32 850i 750i
M70 - 5 Liter

E31 CSi
S70 (S for MotorSport)

M73 5.4 Liter

The 760i is not yet for sale but I my friend already drove one.. He took his 5er to be checked after the winter and hey presto the guys at the local dealer had a 760i (E65) for testing and they lewt him drive because he is a big customer.. He said it drove extremely quick and felt much better and smaller on the move.. More like a M model...
