Thank you but this does not answer the question of when. My WILD guess is either as a 2012 model (1 model year after the forthcoming B7) or perhaps next January as a kind of middle of model year 2011 model.

I'm going to the New York Auto Show on April 9 and 10. I'm bringing my HD video camera and plan on taking plenty of footage of the Alpina B7 xDrive. Is there any other footage anyone who like me to get? I can't wait!!!

Its not offered yet. No answer of when.. I think you are assuming this means this model year. But nothing has been told to the dealers. So this does not answer the question of when. For example BMW has said the F10 M5 WILL be offered for sale in the USA. But WHEN is the answer the people are looking for. WHEN WHEN. WILL is just something that will happen in the future which could be infinite.

Another example: I will be going to the NYIAS. Whats your next question? When. My answer of "I will be there" is not really a very satisfying answer

This is the first time a stateside journalist gets his hands on the new B7, as far is I remember?
