Does anyone have mk3 nav w/Alpina logo update files?

I've just updated my Mk3 nav unit to the latest O/s version (63) and it added a very nice ---BMW--- logo, which I do like looks very classy,
but I'd rather it had a nice Alpina logo instead.

Does anyone here have the same latest ver update but with Alpina logo? And preferably in a format that 'Clonecd' can make a cd from? (.img .ccd and .sub files) A download would be much appreciated, otherwise I'll have to spend age's working out how to do the logo's myself lol...

I updated the map cd to 2009/10 (from 2001/2 lol) so at least it's up to date now. Still looks a bit rubbish, but I might upgrade to a Mk4 and sell the Mk3 anyway, to get perspective view and postcode search.

Any help appreciated

Cheers guys

It works Took about 12 minutes to update. And it looks even classier than before, but it's for a 16:9 screen so it looks a bit squashed on my 4:3

I'm going to ask ccfj1 if he can do me a 4:3 version... a bit cheeky I know but he seems like a diamond fella.

Fingers crossed

This is an absolute MUST for anyone with a mk3 or mk4 sat nav in their Alpina

Agreed! I purchased the MkIV upgrade from a fellow Alpina owner and it came with a very professional-looking Alpina CD. I didn't appreciate this wasn't 'from the factory' but I love the Alpina logo on start-up.

It's a shame it only comes on when you first get in the car.

I'd like to be able to press a button and have it on all the time, the Cd player display is dull by comparison (so is the satnav actually lol)

Hiya,
Get Imgburn from the vendors

The Official ImgBurn Website

It's freeware, and the Alpina image is in the correct format with all the important CD settings already correct.
Just install Imgburn, open the .cue file, put a cdr in the drive and click 'burn'.
Dead simple.
Then
Go to the car, ignition at first position (radio on etc), wait for nav to boot up, then remove map CD, and insert new OS CD.
Wait for system to load new software. It shows progress on the screen, but sometimes stays blank for a while too long for comfort.
Do NOT turn ignition off until reload and reboot has been completed. Note... the Alpina logo update took a long time on my slow old mk3... do not turn anything off or eject the cd til it's done. It DOES work... but you can be forgiven for thinking the process had failed lol... those nervous moments

Oh Well.

Oh well didn't work for me, it just kept spitting the disc out. At least it didn't knacker my system, looks like it's BMW for life.
