New here and looking for a B3 3,2 or B8

Hello Alpina lovers.

I'm new here but have visited the forum a couple of times before.
The reason for joining now is that I have recently sold my B6 3,5 (lovely car), and is now on the hunt for a nice E36 B3 3,2 or even better a B8.
I know about mobile.de and autoscout, but I just can't seem to find the right car (or are they redicously overpriced). I do know that I'm looking for a low mileage car, preferably blue, black or red and it should be a coupe or a saloon not a touring.

I was kind of hoping that y'all could help me out...

Ok - 120 views so far but no luck, so I will widen the search criteria:
B3 3,3 will definitely do the trick as well - preferably a cabrio.
No (switch tronic), automatic wanted...

If you have anything interesting, don't hesitate...

Ok...I'll help you out.

B3 3.2 saloon...only 85 were built and most were delivered to Japan. Probably only a dozen or so in Europe, most are high mileage.
B3 3.2 coupe...only 80 were built and about 1/3 were delivered to UK. Most are high-mileage & Switchtronic.
B3 3.3 saloon...590 were built. Probably over 400 in Europe, mix of high mileage/low mileage. Most are manual.
B3 3.3 coupe...285 were built and about 1/3 were delivered to UK. Most are Switchtronic.
You can check details on Alpina-Archive — The Unofficial BMW Alpina homepage - since 1998 — Latest Additions

My advice? Look for a B3 3.3 saloon for around 15k EUR from the first owner. Or even better look for a B3S saloon/coupe for around 20k EUR.

Thank's for your reply.
Yes I know about that page - been there a lot, to say the least.

I think you are right. It's better to aim for the B3 3,3 or the B3S even...
Bigger chance of finding something I might really like.

This B8 was for sale in Sweden not so long ago.

Alpina

I don't know if the car has been sold seeing that he is not listing any sale price anymore ... may be worth contacting the guy however.

Thanks' for the tip, but that car has already been sold.
I know since I was one day late calling the seller - litterally!

However; it was a fine specimen with 11500km on the odo and it had a lot of documentation.

I'll keep on searching.

Have you checked out Jarls Bilar till salu - Jarls Bilservice AB

He has both a B3 3.2 Touring as well as a B8 4-door for sale.
I have driven both of them and can only say they both go like stink

The B8 is the better car of the two in terms of the condition of the body. The B3 has some bad rust in places.
Unfortunately they are both priced at the high end of the market in my opinion - certainly the B3 is given its condition.

I can only agree.
I have tried to negotiate the price for the B8, but he stood firm. That car has also a lot of km in my opinion and also it need's a new paintjob.

The B3 has too many km to be considered a enthusiast car - and rust..! Right or wrong - that's my opinion.
