What is today's Market value of e24 B7S

I currently have one or two interested buyers for my 1987 Alpina e24 B10 3.5, #36 of 44 mfg by Alpina. I didn't want to be Alpina-less, So I was wondering about the possiblity of upgrading (?) to a e24 B7S. Obviously, a ordinary B7 would be easier to locate but I do like Alpina green metallic. I know of course they are very, very scarce (30mfg by Alpina) but it would help to have some current market value input on the B7S. I am already comfortable with the current value of my e24 B10 3.5. Perhaps some of you on this board can provide some approximate current values to help me make a decision. (values can be in euros or USD). Thank you. john

Not only they are very rare, but their owners are aware of their increasing value and don't sell them. It's such a small niche that we know individually , through the informations circulating between Alpina Clubs in Germany , Switzerland, and now France, who has one. I personnally sent out Emails to all owners I knew, asking to buy their B7S, without success.
I would pay +50,000 € for a B7S in excellent condition.
FYI,
-a green B7 turbo E24 serie III (thus no B7S), was sold for 47,000 € in France earlier this year;
- a B7S E12 is for sale at 39,990 € in germany (see mobile.de - Deutschlands größter Fahrzeugmarkt. Suchen, kaufen oder verkaufen Sie Neu- und Gebrauchtwagen)
- a B7S E24 was for sale in Japan two years ago, around 30,000 € + transport and taxes. I sent a fax to confirm my order, but the next say I got a notice that the car was not for sale anymore...

IF such a nice car comes on the market, I doubt it will stay for sale more than a day or two. There are dozens of people like you and me, ready to open the wallet, waiting for so many years...

Good luck

Dear John,

Do you really want to have my opinion ? Please read again Sherlock's post : Cann't say it better. He is unfortunately 100% right

Good luck.

P.S. Sherlock : to be fair, you also should mention the french B7 E24 (which is Alpina green too !) is in a close to new condition. Very likely the reason for this uncommon price... Do not know of a next B7 E24 sold for that much money

My cousin is selling his E12 B7S if anyone is interested. The car is not advertised yet. It is in outstanding condition and is a lot cheaper than the German car. COntact me if you would like any details.

I want to pass on my car to a fellow Alpina enthusiast in the States. Why just have one turbo when you can have two!
