Alpina wheels paint colour?

Hi all,

I'd like to tidy my wheels up before another British winter does it's best to corrode them away.

Anyone know the Alpina wheel paint colour? Or a very close match.
The worst corrosion is not visible, so I just need to clean it up and get paint over it.

I'll probably have them professionally refurbed at some point in the future.

Cheers

I would recommend Wurth paint, it is a german made paint that matches most OEM finishes. It comes in a silver lacquer and a clear lacquer. I have used is before with good results.

Here is a UK retailer that carries Wurth products:

Performance Motorcare Products Ltd Wurth @ Performance Motorcare Products Ltd

Cheers,

Sean

Just to fill the gap, there is no paint code for Alpina wheel silver. I did some checking in the past (email the wheel manufacturer etc).

A good, wheel refurbisher will be able match the colour properly.

I've just finished my M5's rear wheels using the Wurth Silver and clear coat lacquers and they look like new again
Excellent Oem Bmw colour and the lacquer gives it a smooth deep gloss top coat which should be easy to clean. I might get some Poorboys wheel wax for them too.

I got a couple of tiny sags in the silver coat and the same in the clear coat, but they're hardly noticeable.
As a result of my over enthusiasm I didn't get 2 wheels from 1 can (400ml) but If you're careful, I think you probably could. I used 1.5 cans of silver to cover two wheels, and one can of clear lacquer..
I ordered 2 more sliver and one lacquer to do the front wheels next, and a can of Wurth undercoat.
That gives me a bit left over to tidy the corrosion on the Alpina's wheels, then I'll probably get them refubed by a pro next year.

Thanks Quattroboy, top recommendation, and the UK dealer link you provided are excellent, fast delivery, free detailing guides and I've had 3 complimentry microfibre cloths (free) as well... they do all the top quality detailing products and I'll be ordering all my bodywork bits from them in future
