Very unique interuour on a BMW ALPINA B5 S

I have never seen this upper part of the leather changed! I beleive this actually must be aftermarket since I thought ALPINA wasnät allowed to change this part of the leather?

Very nice colour combination!

I am not sure I understand your remark about the changed "upper part of leather", though.

According to Alpina if I understood it correct you can never change this colour of the leather since ti is BMW OEM and specified / tested for airbags etc.

I have NEVER seen any 5-series with this part of the leather in anu other colour than black. So this is

Isn't this actually standard for the Lavalina II interior (weird to use the words "standard" and "Lavalina" in one sentence...)? If you configure a B5S in the Alpina Car Configurator (http://www.alpina-configurator.de/) and specify the Lavalina II interior, you see an example of a "Brombeer / Schwarz" interior (which - I must confess - I have drooled over many times). Clearly the part you refer to is in "Brombeer" leather in that picture as well.

Hmm, not sure about that but it indeed looks so on the configurator. But the specs doesnt say it exactly that it can be coloured? And I have never seen it on any other 5-series.

Gustav,
First off, thanks for posting these pictures- its a gorgeous color combination. The interior is delicious. I love it.

Second, you are right that you can't (legally) mess with the places the airbags come out of, but I believe if you look close you'll see those black areas on the doors are where the airbags are contained, and therefore it would be very easy for Alpina (or anyone else) to safely modify the panel you are citing.
