Any ideas about how many Alpina Z8's there are here in the UK? Have just seen one in Radlett (Herts) the supercar mecca of the home counties and was wondering how many exist.

According to the October 2003 issue of Total BMW magazine,10 were officially imported into the UK.

I tend to believe that figure...there probably were a few orders directly via the factory and/or grey(ish) imports.

Wow, only 10? Back in ~2003 at the Performance Center in Spartanburg, I can recall seeing a line of Z8s for the new owner's driving school -- probably at least 15 of them! I guess the majority of Z8s made came to the US. That collector who still has two almost zero mileage ones for sale in CA bought three himself.

sorry, not my thing. Normal Z8 is great though.

sorry, not my thing. Normal Z8 is great though.

I need to read more carefully. I missed the point of this thread was the "Alpina Z8". I agree with all of the above. I never "understood" the Alpina Z8, slushbox, no S62, etc...
